The Office of Instruction oversees several departments and instructional units at the University of Georgia. As a Public Relations assistant and Graphic Designer, I am in charge of formulating and revising copy for marketing materials, as well as designing them. This includes creating banners, infographics, videos, social media posts, and email marketing for the various sub-units. All designs must adhere to the university's brand identity.

As part of UGA’s Summer School marketing, I designed multiple digital and print advertisements on various channels. I designed two gifs that were advertised on the website for the local student run newspaper, The Red & Black. These were also included on the email marketing campaigns that I designed on Mailchimp, in hopes to increase the number of students enrolling for 2019 summer school. Additionally, I created bus cards and post card mailers as forms of print advertisements for the campaign. As of March 2019, summer school enrollment registration is up 7% compared to the same time last year.

I also created video content directed to students that explained the various department initiatives, such as academic honesty and the ALL Georgia Program.

Additionally, I created infographics as visual aides for the office’s monthly newsletters via MailChimp. The infographic for “Invigorating STEM Education” was posted with our monthly newsletter and the Vice President for Instruction’s letter to students.

I was commissioned to create a logo for a new advising resource initiative called “1st at the First.” The initiative’s namesake signifies first generation college students who enrolled at UGA, which is the first state-chartered university in the nation. When designing the logo, I made sure to incorporate the UGA Arch, which is an easily recognizable symbol across campus. For the text, I used UGA branded typefaces to show emphasize the number one, and the word “first.” The shadow stretches across the initiative’s name in order to symbolize inclusivity in the UGA community. The logo adheres to UGA’s brand identity and fits seamlessly across the university’s website.
